Che dati tratta l’app
L’app mostra sul dispositivo lo schermo di un computer che sei tu a mettere in ascolto, sulla tua rete locale o attraverso un cavo USB. Le immagini dello schermo viaggiano solo tra il tuo computer e il tuo dispositivo: non passano da alcun server dell’autore né da terze parti, e non vengono salvate né sul dispositivo né altrove.
L’unica informazione che l’app conserva è l’ultimo indirizzo digitato (per esempio
192.168.1.62:8080), salvato nelle preferenze dell’app sul dispositivo, così da non doverlo
riscrivere. Resta sul dispositivo, non viene trasmesso a nessuno e sparisce disinstallando
l’app o cancellandone i dati.

Traffico in chiaro
Il collegamento avviene in HTTP semplice verso un indirizzo della rete locale o verso il cavo USB. È una scelta consapevole: il traffico non esce dalla tua rete e cifrarlo richiederebbe certificati per indirizzi IP che cambiano con il DHCP, senza aggiungere protezione reale. Non usare l’app su reti pubbliche o non fidate.
Comando del mouse
Quando il dispositivo è collegato via cavo USB, i gesti sul touchscreen comandano il mouse del computer. I comandi vengono accettati solo se arrivano dal cavo (interfaccia di loopback): nessuno sulla rete può comandare il tuo computer attraverso questa app.
Bambini
L’app non è destinata ai bambini e non raccoglie dati da alcun utente.

MonitorExtender does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
What the app handles
The app displays the screen of a computer that you yourself put into listening mode, over your local network or through a USB cable. Screen images travel only between your computer and your device: they never pass through any server owned by the author or by third parties, and they are not saved either on the device or anywhere else.
The only information the app stores is the last address you typed (for example
192.168.1.62:8080), kept in the app’s preferences on the device so you don’t have to type it
again. It stays on the device, is never transmitted to anyone, and disappears when you
uninstall the app or clear its data.

The app requests no access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, files or anything else.
Cleartext traffic
The connection uses plain HTTP to a local network address or through the USB cable. This is a deliberate choice: the traffic never leaves your network, and encrypting it would require certificates for IP addresses that change with DHCP, without adding real protection. Do not use the app on public or untrusted networks.
Mouse control
When the device is connected over USB, touchscreen gestures control the computer’s mouse. Commands are accepted only when they arrive through the cable (loopback interface): nobody on the network can control your computer through this app.
Children
The app is not directed to children and collects no data from any user.
